NiE Science Scene - Weather Watch

"Whether it's cold or whether it's hot, we shall have weather whether or not."

The fact that weather can affect our everyday activities has given rise to meteorology -the study of the changes in temperature, air pressure, moisture and wind direction in the earth's atmosphere.Meteorologists study the atmosphere and make predictions about the weather conditions that are expected over land and sea.A weather forecast is made by applying this science and technology to collect data about the state of the earth's troposhere in different locations and predicting what influence this will have on the weather. Knowing how the atosphere works helps to foretell weather behaviours.
