Nissan principal in Warwick ready to support our farmers
CYCLING: Chris Murphy is aiming to raise $3000 as part of the Team Nissan Dealers K's 4 Aussie Farmers ride.
The Warwick Automotive dealer principal will be competing in the ride for a third time .
The first two rides he completed raised funds for the Royal Children's Hospital.
"This ride is for drought-affected farmers from out west," he said.
"Helping farmers out west is a very worthwhile cause. Nissan Queensland is the major sponsor of the ride and dealers were asked to get involved."
The 260km ride will bring together 50 riders from across Queensland.
Cyclists will leave Dalby on Friday morning and ride to Tara. The Saturday ride will be to Miles and then on Sunday, the cyclists will pedal from Miles to Chinchilla.
"I am trying to raise $3000," he said.
"I have been talking to local businesses and the suppliers of Warwick Automotive.
"Any donations, large or small, will be gratefully accepted."
Member of the public or businesses keen to help can go on the K's 4 Aussie Farmers website and select the rider they wish to support to help drought-stricken farmers.
