No excuse for 95kmh over limit: your say

WARWICK Daily News readers have hit out at a motorist caught doing 165kmh in a 70kmh zone in Warwick.

The motorist was intercepted 95kmh over the limit by police just 25 minutes into the new year.

Warwick Daily News' Facebook followers said there was no excuse for the speed at which the motorist was travelling.

"Yes, a lot of people are guilty of speeding at one time of another in their lives," Denise Tattam said.

"Five, 10 or even 15kmh over, but no sorry, there is no excuse to be  doing 95kmh over the speed limit."

Nell Glenn agreed that the actions of the motorists were unacceptable.

"Yes we have all done it at one time or another, but there is no such thing as they made a mistake," she said.

"They know right from wrong and being that far over is stupidity, not a mistake.

"Okay, no one got hurt or was killed … this time.

"Stop making excuses."

Some commenting on Facebook said that Bracker Rd was a hotspot for speeding motorists.

"He is not the only one speeding along Bracker Road either," Nic Williamson said.
