No means no but ‘DLS’ fans still don’t get it
Do you want to see a trial of daylight saving in south-east Queensland? More than 15,000 people have signed a formal e-petition calling for it.
Warwick BuySwap And Sell: They keep asking, we keep saying NO, but they still ask again and again like a little kid that does not get his own way nag nag NAG
Ann-Maree Mann: Why??? We have daylight until well after 7pm at night!
Linda Gaiter: No way....Had to put up with it when working in NSW. Was terrible for kids on School buses, on the bus before daylight in the morning, and the on it again in the hottest part of the day.....And have you ever tried getting kids to go to bed when it's still daylight outside, and too hot to sleep, but have to go to bed as they have to be up so early in the morning....If city folk are so worried about their extra hour of leisure time after work, why not just change business hours....Most people on the land work from daylight till dusk anyway. Just makes an hour less sleep for those who start early shifts anyway....No wonder people are tired and cranky!!! Hasn't anyone heard of Greenwich mean time, and Eastern Australian Standard Time?
Susan Bale: Not at all. Don't mess with how time and daylight is meant to be!
Jayne Manelly: No. I hate getting up early as it is. I don't want to get up earlier. I also detest trying to get my kids to bed in the daylight. Again it is already difficult when it is still light at 7pm.
Jo Hoffman: Always hype about how people want daylight savings here. I know anybody who wants it. Media hype????Definitely not !!!
Jenny Topp: I work nights so dls will mean that I go to work in the daylight and come home in the dark. I will have less time with my kids than I do now because at the moment they are getting ready for bed when I'm getting ready for work but I have the afternoon with them. With dls they will still be active when I leave. On the up side mornings won't change much because I'll be asleep. I was in high school when the last trial occurred and hated every moment of it!
Colette Williamson: No! Mother Nature has does what she does best for thousands of years. If you so desire, start work an hour earlier and finish an hour earlier, but leave the clocks alone. If nature and animals can get it right, why then can't the world of business people? get up earlier if you want...
Jgr Jgr: NOOOO!!!!!!!!!!! , please don't take our last and probably only mechanism of common sense !
Barb Erhardt: Would be great if some people who are against it would vote on that link - so far its been stacked by a fb group for DLS, VOTE NO!
Barbara Green: No daylight savings
Heidi Clark: No! I do not care for daylight savings at all.
Mary Hopkins: No. we had a trial years ago it is not good west of the range. Anywhere west of Aratula is considerd out west why are we pulled into the coastal needs/wants all of a sudden?? Piccininy daylight is around 4am what more do you want. It is much hotter west of the great dividing range although there is less population west give us some respect. We uphold/suport this country of ours we can't all live on the coast
