Nominate if you're keen to coach or manage this year

NETBALL: Nominations are open for coaching and management roles for Warwick netball teams for the 2019 season.

Warwick Netball Association secretary Linda Bunch said the association would be seeking coaches and managers for age group and open teams.

"The 11 years team will be the youngest involved in the Darling Downs Inter-district competitions,” she said.

"Most years, we have an open team in the inter-district competition which often also plays in one-day carnivals in the south-east Queensland region.”

The association is aiming to finalise coaching and management positions by the end of the month.

Warwick is set to field teams in each age group from 11 to 16 years as well as open competition.

Once the coaches and managers are appointed, the association will seek player nominations for 2019.

Work is set to start later this month on the four new flexi-pave courts at association headquarters at Barnes Park.

There is one new flexi-pave court at Barnes Park which will take the total number to five state-of-the-art courts once work is complete.

Junior sign-on is February 16 at Barnes Park.

Ladies fixtures

TEAM and individual nominations will open in mid January for the 2019 senior season at the Warwick Indoor Recreation and Aquatic Centre.

Last year, all three time spots on a Tuesday night were filled with C and D-grade teams but the association can handle more A and B-grade teams for Monday night fixtures.
