Nurturing a vision of peace

IT has been Bill Greer's long-time dream to create a beautiful place, an oasis of calm and tranquillity, to be enjoyed by visitors and residents alike.

Local gardening advisor Mr Greer said the Warwick Peace Garden project was about people finding some moments of quietness in otherwise busy lives.

It has been formally approved by council and has received $17,000 in donations.

“The location for the garden is Victoria Park opposite the Warwick Base Hospital,” Mr Greer said. “This is an ideal site providing respite for hospital patients, families and staff and other Warwick residents and visitors.

“The garden design includes a huge feature mosaic and many mosaic stepping stones, a central paved area surrounded by sandstone seating, a water feature and an inviting Australian native garden.”
