Olympian coming to Warwick
SYDNEY Olympic equestrian gold medallst Stuart Tinney will be in Warwick with three horses for the Nathan Trailers Three-Day International Event at Morgan Park on April 22-24.
Tinney was the best-performed rider in the team event at the Sydney Olympics when Australia won gold.
He is formerly from Queensland and now lives in Sydney.
Tinney has three horses in the two-star event, GV Anzac, Kinnordy Rubino and San Antonia.
Kinnordy Rubino is bred on the Darling Downs by Holger and Melanie Schmorlm, of Cambooya.
Olympic rider Shane Rose has not yet nominated but is expected to be in Warwick for the first three-day event in Queensland for a decade.
Former Chinchilla and now Tamborine rider Emma Dougall is in three star on Kelecyn Ice Age after winning on the same horse in two star last year.
