THE key to finding true love is ... perseverance.

That's what Kim Edman told The Morning Bulletin yesterday.

After years struggling to find Mr Right, Kim last month married Peter Edman in a rustic backyard wedding ceremony in the Mt Morgan hills.

Kim admitted Peter quickly caught her attention after seeing his profile on an online dating website four years ago.

Two years after kindling this online affair, Kim relocated from Coolum Beach, on the Sunshine Coast, to Mt Morgan to be with him after she found they were the perfect match.

Kim was a widow with three children aged between 14 and 16, while Peter, who shared custody of his 15-year-old daughter and 12-year-old son with his ex-wife, was divorced from his previous marriage.

Both, after many years living the single life, struggled to meet new people because of work and family commitments.

"As soon as I saw his profile information, I fell in love with him," Kim said.

"On the website, some people hide their photos from people online so I requested one from him and I fell more in love with him.

"Before moving to Mt Morgan, we chatted over the phone, visited each other and eventually introduced our families to one another.

"There is someone out there for everyone ... never give up."

They borrowed Peter's best man's 1927 Chevrolet for their wedding, as they both love all things vintage.

"I just wanted to have that wedding over and over and over again," Kim said.
