KILLARNEY and Goondiwindi Blue are the only teams with two wins from two games after round 2 of the Border Rugby League.

Goondiwindi Blue beat Goondiwindi Maroon 38-18 on Friday night with halfback Scott Marsh scoring a try and landing five goals.

On Saturday, Killarney won the battle of two unbeaten teams with a 50-32 victory at Wallangarra.

Backline star Coedie Tandy scored three tries for Killarney and Michael Marshall landed seven goals in a nine try to six victory.

Matt Rouen scored three tries for Wallangarra.

Best for Killarney were Tandy, Jake Weier, Chris McGregor and Mick Bloomfield. Brent Humpries, Nathan Barraclough, Matt Rouen and Alan Wetzler were the best for the home side.

Wallangarra coach Brent Irwin said he felt the Rams did well against the hard-running Killarney side.

"It was a hard game of footy with both sides playing good football," Irwin said.

On a weekend with plenty of points-scoring stars, five-eighth Tyson Mitchell scored four tries and kicked nine goals in the Stanthorpe 66-4 victory against Texas at Texas.

Bennett Sutton was the try scorer and best player for Texas.

Stanthorpe prop Leon Karena was judged the best on ground by the referee.
