Openings for adults as well as kids in karate

KARATE: The push is on to boost numbers in adult renbukan karate classes at Allora and Warwick.

The classes cater for anyone 13 years and over from beginners to experienced exponents.

Instructor David Webster said the aim of the classes was to boost fitness and self defence.

“You can achieve goals and challenge yourself with renbukan karate,” he said.

“Participants start at white belt level and can work themselves up to black belt if they wish to go to tournaments and gradings. Some will just use karate for fitness.”

The youngest member at present is 13 and the oldest is nearing 60. There is no maximum age limit.

The classes are each Wednesday at 6.40pm at the Allora State School Hall and at 6.40pm each Thursday at Warwick West State School Hall.

The adults classes follow Aussie Kids Karate each nights.

Classes go for one hour and cost $9.

All welcome and program information from Annette Webster on 0431 677078.
