Orienteering action at Gordon Country this weekend

ORIENTEERING: The Range Runners Orienteering Club will be conducting events at Gordon Country in the Goomburra Valley this weekend.

Events will start at 1-4pm Saturday and 9-10am Sunday.

There will be nine courses available catering for all levels of fitness, age and ability. Instruction will be available for newcomers and families may wish to go around a course together.

Anyone interested in trying out orienteering is most welcome to attend.

No special gear is required although sturdy footwear and a hat are recommended. Compasses may be borrowed at the event.

A large number of Darling Downs junior orienteers are expected to attend the weekend's events to get in some training ahead of the Queensland Schools Championships in July.

The event will be sigposted along Inverammsey Road and is 25km from Goomburra.
