Our 10 show their form in hockey trials

JACK Bergemann, Bailey Rutledge and Kate Morris have all made Darling Downs primary school hockey teams to compete in this year's state championships in Ipswich.

The three were among 10 Southern Downs players who were talent identified to travel to Toowoomba for the regional trials.

Many Southern Downs players played strongly to put their names forward for selection.

Jack, who attends school at Warwick East, made the Darling Downs team for a second year but, for Bailey and Kate, this will be their first state experience in a regional team.

Bailey and Kate both attend St Mary's School.

All three will have the chance to vie for a spot in Queensland teams.

William Ready played well in the trials in Toowoomba and is a shadow player for the Darling Downs team and could be called into the primary school boys' team.
