Our best snappers work to go on show

THE photography section of the 2013 Warwick Show has been given a revamp this year, with new categories to entice all photographers across the region.

With the deadline to enter fast approaching - entries close March 22 - photography steward Casandra Garvey urged anyone still thinking of entering to log on to the Warwick Show website and send off their forms.

"I'm really excited about this year's section. We've introduced a new category which will showcase the efforts of those who took great shots during the recent floods which hit the region," she said.

"This year there is also a new section devoted to people/portraits. Last year we had some amazing photos of people in various categories. I thought the subject deserved a category on its own."

The Warwick Show photography section is open to all Southern Downs residents.

Whether you're from Allora, Killarney, Leyburn, Maryvale or anywhere in between, enter your photos for display in the Douglas Feez Pavilion during show week.

APN photographer and Walkley Award winner Nev Madsen will be this year's judge, with judging to take place on Thursday, April 4.

Visit warwickshowandrodeo.com.au, click on the "events'' tab and then click on "show'' to see all the schedules, including photography, for more information or phone Casandra on 4660 1321.
