KAI Etherington, Will Dearden and Thomas Duggan can't wait for the chance to play for the Toowoomba Clydesdales under-16 side in a curtain-raiser to the NRL trial at Clive Berghofer Downs tomorrow.

Etherington has played for Eastern Suburbs for six years at fullback and centre and will play wing on Saturday in the early game.

He is an age champion in athletics at Warwick High so has the speed needed for the wing.

"It will be an amazing experience on Saturday," he said.

Collegians forward Will Dearden will play front row tomorrow and is in his eighth season in rugby league.

"You always play better in front of a large crowd," Will said.

Both Kai and Will have played in one state championship for South West.

Thomas Duggan plays for Wattles and said it would be a privilege to play at Clive Berghofer Stadium.

He will play in the back row and said he enjoyed working hard in defence.

Thomas has played for Warwick and District but the game tomorrow will be the biggest of his career.

Stanthorpe player Lachlan Hendry plays for Valleys club in Toowoomba but is sure to impress for the Clydesdales.

He travels almost two hours to training so has plenty of commitment to the sport he loves.

Brook Croft from Warwick will play in game 3, the U20 clash and has been a regular in Clydesdales teams in recent seasons.
