Our Country Girl delights judges
WARWICK'S Miss Country Girl entrant, Jessica Seary, has wowed judges at the nationals with her natural beauty to be awarded third place.
The aspiring model travelled to Sydney this week to compete against some of the most beautiful young women in the country and was shocked when she was crowned second runner-up.
"I wasn't expecting it at all - I heard them say my name and I was so surprised," she said.
The Tenterfield teenager said the model quest had been nerve-racking, exciting and very tiring, but worth every second.
"I would recommend this to anyone because it's a great opportunity and it was so much fun to be around the other girls and it helps build confidence," she said.
Rose City Shoppingworld marketing manager and Warwick judge Louise de Lissa said she was rapt to see the Warwick representative do so well again this year.
Warwick teen Ryle Waugh also made it into the top three at last year's finals.
Jessica also entered the competition in 2011 and Mrs de Lissa said she was amazed at how much Jessica had matured over 12 months between the competitions.
"The thing with Jessica was she had tried the year before and really went a long way to improve everything about her capabilities the following year," Mrs de Lissa said.
"She put her heart and soul into it because modelling is something she really wants to do and we barely recognised her."
Jessica will now meet with modelling agencies Chic Management and Scoop Management and hopes to score a modelling contract in the near future.
