Over a thousand are ‘All Shook Up’ about musical

THE Warwick State High School attracted more than 1400 patrons to its musical, All Shook Up, at the Warwick Town Hall which finished on Saturday night.

The matinee performance was for primary school students on Tuesday and then the first performance on Thursday attracted a close to capacity audience.

Tickets sold out for the Friday and Saturday performances which were put on by a cast, band and crew of 100 students supported by 20 teachers.

The director was Carolyn Foster, co-director Katie-Jane Henderson, producer Michelle Ferdinand and bands director Ian Follett.

Mrs Ferdinand said the students really enjoy themselves, particularly on Saturday night.

"They were so relaxed and natural on Saturday night, we were really proud of their performance all week."

Warwick resident Donna Page left a note of congratulations on the Daily News Facebook page.

"All Shook Up by Warwick State High School gets a houseful of double thumbs up for this brilliant production," she said.

"There are some outstandingly talented kids at that school.

"I was expecting a high school musical - what we got was something well beyond that. Great work to the cast and crew."
