Overseas visitors travel to Warwick for Scots PGC reunion

TWO hundred past students of The Scots PGC College will be in Warwick this weekend for the annual past students' reunion.

Past students will travel from as far as Singapore, Tasmania, Townsville, Mackay and Longreach for the reunion.

There are New South Wales visitors coming from Port Macquarie and Katoomba.

The major event will be the annual dinner tomorrow at 6.30pm at Des Davey Dining Hall on the Oxenford St Campus.

The weekend will start with a barbecue lunch on Pipes Knoll at 12.30pm tomorrow.

A chapel service will be held at 9.30am Sunday with members of the public welcome along with the past students.

Many of the students will also watch the Sevens Rugby competition being organised by the college tomorrow.

The college choir will sing the national anthem and the pipes and drums will make an appearance at the start of the sevens with games from 9am to 5pm.

It is expected 30 teams will play in the rugby.

Open boys and girls games will be played on Briggs and Dunning ovals. The under-15 girls will play at Dunning Oval and the U16 boys at Risdon Oval.

Boarder Emily Bass from Dirranbandi is one Scots PGC student to make it to national level in sevens rugby this year.
