MARK Steketee has played for Australia in the under-19 cricket World Cup in Townsville and now his amazing sporting achievements have been acknowledged with Warwick's 2013 Sports Award.

Mark took six wickets in his first game in Brisbane A-grade cricket with Souths.

He has also played for the Queensland Academy of Sport team this season in Futures cricket in Perth, a virtual Second XI interstate competition.

In the 2011-2012 season, he was clocked as the fastest bowler in a speed competition televised on Channel 9 during the Gabba Test.

Mark is a former winner of the Daily News/Warwick Credit Union Junior Sports Star of the Year award.

When available, he plays club cricket for Maryvale in Warwick A-grade.
