M'boro man jokingly joins Palmer United Party

A MARYBOROUGH man has self-nominated himself as a candidate for the Palmer United Party's tilt at the next State Election.

Lloyd Farley photoshopped himself in on a billboard with controversial politician Clive Palmer.

Spruiking on his Facebook page, Mr Farley claimed he had formed a coalition with Mr Palmer.

"Completely wrapped (sic) with how the new billboard turned out," he wrote.

"Big fan of your work Clive - watch this space people, big things coming."

On Facebook Mr Farley lists his employment status as being the CEO of Me, Myself and I.

A spokeswoman for PUP denied Mr Farley was a candidate and distanced the party from his photoshopping.

The spokeswoman said Steve Anderson, who would run for the seat of Maryborough, was the only PUP candidate announced on the Fraser Coast.

Mr Anderson represented the party in the Wide Bay seat, which incorporates Maryborough, at last year's Federal Election.

Mr Farley didn't respond to the Chronicle's request for a comment on Wednesday.
