Paranormal crew shares on the spirits of Warwick
PARANORMAL activity and the Criterion Hotel go hand in hand.
The Paranormal Action Team conducted an investigation into the historic hotel in May, and on Saturday they are coming back into town to present their findings.
Pyschic medium Kim Kickbusch said the opportunity to conduct a session in Warwick came through a chance meeting.
"We were having lunch at the Criterion and wearing our paranormal shirts,” Mrs Kickbusch said.
"A patron saw us with the shirts on, and said we should investigate the pub.”
Over the course of their time, the group has encountered some unique findings.
"One of the strangest experiences we've had is where a home where we investigated a home where people brought home spirits,” she said.
"They went to a haunted forest in Japan, known as the suicide forest.
"I could sense they brought something back with them, and it turned out they had a rock with them from their visit.
"We were given a taste of what someone went through, and got a small taste of their pain.
"On another occassion we were called down to Dubbo where Jeanette Nolan was missing, and bones were found in the general area we said they would find them.”
Mrs Kickbusch said a lot of effort went into it, and the group was excited to present their findings.
"We have a big set of equipment that goes into each investigation,” she said.
"We have infrared sureveillance cameras, recording devices to try and capture voices, and EMS detectors.
"If we think there is a spirit, we will ask who are you, what is your name and what is your message.
"There is a lot of reviewing to do. We'll watch the same areas for hours, and we have to go back over it to determine if it is explainable or not.
The session commences tomorrow at 11am in the Ballroom. Tickets are $20, and must be pre-purchased. To book, call the Criterion on 46611042.
