Part of a not-for profit? Apply for an SDRC grant
IF CASH is a little bit stretched at this time of year, as it is for most people, a helping hand could be extremely valuable to help get a not-for-profit project over the line.
The Southern Downs Regional Council offer new, emerging and existing not-for-profit organisations the Fast Grant, which offers a maximum of $1,000 to cover a short-term or immediate need for a project or activity.
Southern Downs Mayor Tracy Dobie said grants of any size could be a great help.
"I am not aware of many not-for-profit organisations within the Southern Downs that would not appreciate a financial injection no matter how big or small, so I encourage organisations to jump onto Council's website and start completing their application,” said Cr Dobie.
The Fast Grant is not available to applicants that have received the Community Grant, Event Grant, Sport & Recreation Grant nor if they are recipients of Council's annual Operational Funding or Major Events Sponsorship this financial year.
The Fast Grant closes on June 15 next year 2018 for projects taking place between 16 December 2017 and 30 June 2018.
To make an application, visit Council's website, Doing Business, Grants to Community, scroll down to the heading Application Forms, and click on the Fast Grant Link which will re-direct to the application form to be completed online via SmartyGrants.
