Passion for polocrosse trumps rain

RAIN, wind and cooler temperatures could not dampen the mood as 33 teams played in the Cunningham Polocrosse Carnival on Saturday.

Thirty one senior teams and two junior teams competed in the carnival, which featured Warwick and Cunningham, along with teams from Chinchilla, the Gold Coast, New South Wales and more.

Several Queensland and New South Wales representatives were also in action.

Cunningham Polocrosse Club secretary Robyn Cooper said there was a reasonable turnout considering the weather.

"With the sort of weather we've had, it does affect the turnout," Cooper said.

"But everyone's enjoying themselves. They all love playing polocrosse and this one is no different.

"We've got some quality players in action and there have been some pretty good games and some unexpected results."

Yesterday's games were cancelled due to the weather.
