Patient suffers cut neck in Southern Downs town
A SOUTHERN Downs resident suffered a cut neck in the early hours of this morning in the town of Killarney.
Initial reports suggested the injury could have been the result of an assault.
But a spokesman from Queensland Police Services said there were no reports of an assault at the Killarney address so the incident could have been resolved with no charges.
A spokeswoman from Queensland Ambulance Services said a patient was transported from Killarney to Warwick Hospital with a neck laceration about 2.10am.
She was unable to confirm how the injury was sustained.
The gender and age of the patient was unknown at that stage.
