Pauline Hanson’s no-nonsense candidate for Maranoa

THE LNP'S strong hold on the Maranoa could be dealt a blow at the Federal election, with Pauline Hanson announcing a One Nation candidate.

Ms Hanson, the party's leader and a candidate for the Queensland Senate, made the announcement during a visit to the electorate with the Burrumbuttock Hay Run.

Jandowae-based Lynette Keehn (pictured, right) will contest the LNP-safe seat, facing off against Labor's Dave Kerrigan and LNP's David Littleproud.

Originally from country Victoria, Ms Keehn moved to Queensland in 1987 and worked as a control operator and chemical analyst at a bio refinery.

More recently she worked for an RFID cattle reader company, before her job became redundant when the office shifted to Brisbane.

The One Nation candidate has outlined her "no-nonsense, common sense" approach.

"I am sick of our politicians speaking dribble," she said.

"People want to be informed about legislation and current affairs and what it means for them and their hip pocket, in terms that they can understand, not legal babble."

"Let's focus on the everyday struggles that all Australians are facing.

"Our leaders should not be afraid to voice people's opinions and requests, or their own opinions for that matter."
