Perfect festival weather for the Southern Downs
IT WAS shorts and shirts weather for Warwick’s first weekend of Jumpers and Jazz, and the sun is set to keep shining for the rest of the festival.
Today is forecast to hit a maximum of 17, with the rest of the week’s highs predicted to stay above that.
There will be some cool mornings towards the weekend, with Thursday and Friday both hitting a minimum of three.
Saturday is set to hit a maximum of 20 and a minimum of five, with only a few clouds hindering what should be perfect outdoor weather.
Compare this year’s temperature to last year’s cooler festival, and Warwick’s weather is well above the average 18 degree maximum for July.
The first day of last year’s festival hit a minimum of zero and maximum of 14.
The first Saturday of last year’s festival kicked off with a record-breaking -4.1 minimum and 15.7 maximum.
The only thing to be wary of for the remainder of Jumpers and Jazz is some light winds, but there is less than a 10% chance it will rain this week at all.
That means, if you’re heading out to any of the outdoor Jumpers and Jazz events be sure to slop on some sunscreen, slap on your jazziest hat, and leave the jumper-wearing to the trees.
