THE crowd is growing at the Steele's Bakery and Cafe New Year's Eve Rodeo which started at 2pm.

The Brumby Catch has been run and Warwick rider Will Clothier was the winner.

The day started with a campdraft to support the fund-raising of Warwick Miss Rodeo Australia entrant Ashleigh Grant.

The campdraft was won by Old Koreelah (NSW) cattleman Andrew Peterson, a long-time volunteer at the Warwick Rodeo.

During the morning, the first of the rodeo patrons planning to stay overnight started coming in to the showgrounds and at one time, they were five cars deep at the entrance.

The rodeo started at 2pm and will go to 9pm with fireworks at 9pm and midnight as well as musical entertainment.

The light rain around 3pm has had no impact on the events at the New Year's Eve Rodeo.
