Pink bras, blue jocks in bunting for equestrians
WARWICK local Deb Wheeler has made a massive 250m of bunting from dyed and coloured pink bras and blue jocks to be used on this year's Qld International 3 Day Event, cross country course and 5km Fun Run.
"We are raising awareness and funds to go directly to the Mater chicks in pink and The Wesley Hospital's Prostate Cancer Service, for things like care packs, car parking, house cleaning, counselling services, mastectomy bras and wigs," she said.
"It's all about raising awareness and having Pink Fillies and Blue Stallions supporting each other," Ms Wheeler said.
"We are holding a Fun Run around the cross country course at Morgan Park on Sunday.
"People can register at Black Toyota and Mr Rental in Warwick for $5 or a gold coin donation for children under 12 years of age," she said.
Everyone is welcome - mums and daughters, dads and sons, people walking their dogs on a lead and they love to see school children out and about with their families and friends.
Everyone is encouraged to wear blue and pink in support.
Participants should arrive at 7.15am to start at 7.30am on hopefully a cracking day - one day before spring.
