Players raise four-figure sum for Queensland Police Legacy

MORE than $3000 was raised for Queensland Police Legacy after 92 players teed off in the Warwick Police Legacy Golf Day on Wednesday.

Many of the regular Warwick Sporters Golf Club players and Warwick club regulars joined serving and retired police officers from near and far on the day.

There was a shotgun start at 11.30am.

The overall winner was Warwick golfer Trevor King.

Club professional Sam Eaves was runner up in the single stableford after hitting 63 off the stick, six under.

The police winner was Sergeant Tim Hoffman, of Inglewood police.

Sgt Shane Reid, of Warwick police, said he was extremely happy with the day.

"We will have Police Legacy Day at a similar time next year,” he said.
