Players target action

HOLLY Manwill is one of the budding young darts players lining up for some Saturday social darts at the Darts Cave at the Warwick Boxing Club.

Holly and her father Eric have both played the game competitively for the past three years.

"We played a bit at home and wanted to take it a bit further," Holly said.

"I come most weeks."

Ray Jones is the co-ordinator for Saturday darts from noon to 4pm in the back hall at the Warwick Boxing Club at the western end of Albert St.

"Cost is $5 per player and we are sharing the money with the boxing club which is providing the venue," Jones said.

"Many of our players also play Warwick Darts Association fixtures during the week.

"We just want to play social darts at the weekend."

Rusty Elwell has played darts for the past 20 years and recalls winning a few trophies.

"You can have a nice friendly game and a drink at social darts on a Saturday," Elwell said.

Players are welcome to bring their own drinks to the club.

New players are welcome to show up on a Saturday or call Jones on 0402 642561.
