Players wanted for Cutters for 2017 BRL season

RUGBY LEAGUE: The door is open at the Killarney Cutters for players keen for a bit of fun in the 2017 Border Rugby League season.

Killarney is one of five teams in the A-grade competition.

Club president Aaron McKinney said all prospective players and supporters were welcome to the club meet-and-greet at the Killarney Hotel at 1-4pm tomorrow.

"We will definitely have a competitive team with 90% of the players from last season returning,” McKinney said.

"Troy Weier is organising a lot of past Killarney players to return.”

For the second season, Ray Wagner and Leejay Cooper will be co-coaches.

The Xylon Smith Memorial Game will be at Killarney on March 11 between the Cowboys and Cutters.

On the same program BRL premiers Inglewood will play Cowboys reggies and Border and Warwick U18s will play.

Cutters training will start on Tuesday, February 14, at Charlie Andrews Oval. Information on 0447111124.
