Plenty of action in the sky but little rain

THERE was little more than a drop in Rose City rain gauges overnight, with a stunning thunderstorm delivering less than 1mm of rain.

But those holding out for a bit more of the wet stuff might not have to wait too long, with the possibility of more substantial rainfall and thunderstorms today.

Weatherzone meteorologist Mellissa Mackellar said today is set to be cooler and wetter than yesterday.

Warwick could see up to 15mm of rain hit the city today, with a cool change set to see the mercury dip to a maximum of 36 degrees.

The cool change is expected to be short-lived with a scorching 40-degree day predicted for Sunday.
