Plenty of horse power winners at sports awards
WARWICK is the horse power capital of Australia and on Monday night, five monthly winners from horse power sports will be honoured at the annual Daily News/Warwick Credit Union Senior Sports Star of the Year awards at Warwick RSL Memorial Club.
Matt Campbell and Jason O'Mara will represent motorsport along with Rob Balint and Peter Lane from Targa Tasmania.
Brock Eastwell is a monthly winner from rodeo.

THIRTY years ago, the Warwick Karting Club track at Sandy Creek was being developed and another season is about to start with round one of the club championships tomorrow.
This week, a Warwick resident told me about how highly a family from interstate rates our track when in town for the Junior Top Guns. They spoke about Sandy Creek Raceway as one of the best in Australia.
AIS trip
SOUTHERN Downs polocrosse players Cameron Shepherd and Ryle Waugh were at the AIS in Canberra last weekend for an Australian open development squad camp.
Cameron was at the AIS in his capacity as a coach and Ryle is in a group of nine women in sections to play at the Australian Polocrosse Junior Classic in April at Albury.
