Plenty of thoughts about end of season

END of season. What is it for you?
For some, high-pressure contract negotiation and signings. For others the nerves of knockout finals.
Wanting yourself and your team to hit that all-important peak at the correct time, enabling the team to glory in the pinnacle grand-final game.
The social atmosphere of last games before the dreaded off-season.
The excitement and fun of break-up day celebrations.
Or are you the parent of the overly tired yet super-excited and sugar-loaded junior player?
The culmination of the season varies greatly from level to level.
For juniors, pretty hair ribbons, the canteen visit and possibility of mum or dad saying 'yes' to lollies or an ice-block.
The catch-up with teammates and friends from different schools.
There is the added effort, determination and skills gained through representative teams or the excitement of playing at senior fixtures next year.
All important reasons and, for organisers, all components of the player enjoying, learning and wanting to return next year.
While for seniors, the thrill of a competitive game, the weekly catch-up with teammates, an hour of exercise (albeit for some the jaw mostly - you've waited all week for this girlie download, don't stall now) or an escape from wife and mother duties and indulging in simple 'me time'.
The Warwick juniors play preliminary finals this Saturday in preparation for finals and break-up the next Saturday.
Senior preliminary finals are on Monday night at WIRAC.
