Pohlman lines up for 14th nationals in hockey
HOCKEY: Warwick veteran Rob Pohlman is playing in his 14th nationals in masters hockey this week in Adelaide.
Pohlman is in the Queensland 1 over 60s team and is backing up after winning a World Cup bronze medal in his age group earlier this year.
A striker, Pohlman has only missed one nationals since he first played for Queensland.
It took a gall bladder operation two weeks before one nationals to stop him.
Pohlman plays his first game of the tournament today and needs a goal to keep up with fellow Warwick players Peter Andrews, Matt Hagenbach and Adam Byrne who each have a goal in Adelaide so far.
Andrews is in the Queensland over 55s team and is playing in his seventh national carnival. He made the Australian over 40s team in 2000 which played in the Pan Pacific Tournament in Perth.
He is one of the Queensland strikers and scored a goal in a 3-0 win against South Australia this afternoon.
Hagenbach and Byrne are playing for Queensland in the over 35s and each has goals early in their tournament in Adelaide.
