Police arrest man after midnight spree

A MAN wanted on over 20 charges across the state has been caught after a midnight spree throughout Warwick, Aratula and Beenleigh.

The 34-year-old man broke into two Warwick car yards and hotwired a new vehicle to smash his way into the business.

The man then used another car to flee the scene, smashing into other cars on the lot in the process.

His spree continued in Aratula where he committed further break and enters.

Through the use of a tracking device on a stolen iPad the man was tracked and finally caught in Beenleigh where he rammed two police cars and attempted to run over police officers. 

He has been remanded in custody at the Beenleigh watch house where he will await trial tomorrow.
