Police charge man on highway with possessing dangerous drug

A MAN was allegedly caught with two grams marijuana in his car on the Cunningham Highway in the early hours of this morning.

Warwick Police Sergeant Ryan Harmer said the man was pulled over by police about 2am near Crusher Rd.

The 54-year-old man was also allegedly in possession of drug smoking utensils.

Sgt Harmer said the man was on bail at the time of the offences.

He was charged with possessing dangerous drugs and drug utensils and well as breaching bail.

The Moree man is scheduled to appear at Warwick Magistrates Court on September 28.

A second man will also face court after being charged with drug driving in Warwick yesterday.

Sgt Harmer said the 39-year-old Warwick man was intercepted by police on Albion St about 5pm.

The man allegedly failed a random drug test and was given a notice to appear at Warwick Magistrates Court on October 31.
