Police charge alleged thieves

TWO sticky-fingered Greenmount men were nabbed with a stolen pushbike and an angle-grinder when Warwick Police searched their home on Sunday morning.

A Warwick Police Criminal Investigation Branch spokesman said a 21-year-old man was arrested for allegedly stealing the electric grinder from his Greenmount employer.

“As a result of the search warrant, a 19-year-old man was also charged with allegedly stealing a bicycle from Clifton,” the spokesman said.

In other police news, a Warwick man was arrested for allegedly bringing stolen goods into Queensland and stealing on Saturday afternoon.

“He was charged with stealing a motorbike helmet from Killarney and stealing a chainsaw and motorbike from Legume in northern New South Wales,” the police spokesman said.

All three men will appear at the Warwick Magistrates Court on September 14.
