Police hunting armed man on motorbike in Lockyer Valley

POLICE are hunting a possibly armed man on a motorbike in Laidley.

The man is believed to be riding a black road motorbike, possibly a Kawasaki, and is alleged to have evaded police after being seen with a firearm in William St about 1.45pm.

The man fled the area of William St, dumping a black bag in the process.

Police have searched that bag and are believed to have found a sawn-off shotgun and a Taser.

The man was last seen fleeing the area northbound toward the Warrego Hwy.
