Police liaison officer stood down after sexual assault claim

A QUEENSLAND police community liaison officer has been pulled from duty over sexual assault allegations.

The officer worked with Queensland Police Service in the Southern Region which includes Bribie Island, Ipswich, Tooowoomba and Inala on Brisbane's outskirts.

The man is scheduled to appear in Richlands Magistrates Court in Inala on October 20 in relation to sexual offences allegedly committed while off duty.

All allegations against the officer are yet to be proven.
