Police make arrest over alleged Brisbane balcony fall

A MAN has been charged with attempted murder and kidnapping following a police investigation into an incident where a man allegedly fell from a high rise balcony in Brisbane's CBD.    On September 14, Police were called to a unit complex in Upper Roma Street where a 28-year-old injured man was found. Initial investigations suggested he had fallen about 30 metres.    The man suffered serious head injuries and was taken to the Royal Brisbane Hospital for treatment.    Detectives from the Brisbane City Criminal Investigation Branch arrested a 28-year-old Birkdale man on Saturday.   The man has been charged with one count each of attempted murder, kidnapping, accessory after the fact, and grievous bodily harm, and two counts of burglary.   He is the second man to be charged in relation to the incident.   The man has been remanded in custody and is due to reappear in the Cleveland Magistrates Court on Thursday, October 9.   Investigations are continuing.
