Child indecently assaulted by home intruder

A MAN has been charged with indecently assaulting a child after breaking into a house in Oakey.

Detectives from the Toowoomba Child Protection and Investigation Unit have charged a man following an alleged indecent assault on a child at Oakey overnight on Saturday.

It will be alleged a child was inappropriately touched by the man.

The child was not physically injured.

A 38-year-old Dalby man has been charged with one count each of enter dwelling with intent to commit an indictable offence and indecent treatment of a child.

The man is due to appear at the Toowoomba Magistrates Court today.
