Police response to disturbance uncovers drug stash

POLICE made a surprising discovery after responding to reports of a disturbance at a home the night of January 1.

Police said officers had been called to a Herbert St property in Goondiwindi with reports of a disturbance at which time they spoke to a 31-year-old man at the house.

A search of the property then allegedly located a quantity of dangerous drugs and other drug utensils at the resident.

Police charged the man with drug possession and possession of drug utensils.

He is due to face Goondiwindi Magistrates Court on January 20.
