Police rule out 4WD driver link

POLICE have found the driver of the 4WD initially believed to be connected to the Nobby shooting, but have since ruled out a link. Police located the Clifton driver at about 4.15pm Saturday.

The driver told police he had driven past the white car on Ted Mengell Rd and had simply slowed down, before performing a U-turn.

A witness also approached police after seeing the vehicle, and is helping them with investigations.

In other Clifton crime news, a local woman was arrested and charged after stealing more than $6000 from her place of work.

The 42-year-old woman allegedly stole money on four occasions from the business’s safe, on May 29, June 5, June 12 and June 19.

Warwick police said the business owners had grown suspicious and had installed a hidden camera to record the goings on.

The employee alllegedly took $6150 in total and about $2500 has been recovered.

The woman was charged with four counts of stealing.
