Police seek witnesses to alleged murder

DETECTIVES investigating the alleged murder of a man outside a Morayfield fast food outlet last week are appealing for witnesses of the incident to come forward.

About 7.30pm on Wednesday, June 1, a 50-year-old man was allegedly assaulted by another man near the outlet on Morayfield Rd.

The man was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, and passed away as a result of his injuries the following day.

Police are looking for anyone that may have dash cam footage and was driving on Morayfield Rd or Michael Ave between 7.15-7.45pm that evening.

They are also asking anyone who used the drive-through facility at the restaurant during that period to come forward.

A 32-year-old man charged with one count of murder appeared before the Caboolture Magistrates Court on June 3.

He was remanded in custody to reappear on August 4.
