Police treating deaths of two people as suspicious

POLICE investigating the deaths of a man and woman found at a Gold Coast home say there were no obvious signs of violence.

The bodies of the 28-year-old male and 53-year-old female were discovered at the Ashmore residence on Friday morning.

Detectives are treating the circumstances as suspicious.

Police say a family member found the body of the man inside the house just before 8am, while emergency teams located the woman in a car when they arrived.

A silver Volvo sedan was later removed from the house by truck.
