Police warn residents to lock up valuables after cash theft

A KILLARNEY boy has been dealt with by police after stealing cash from outside a home.

Senior Constable Nathan Thomson said the 12-year-old boy stole a quantity of money from a back patio table at a residence on Cedar St about 8.05am Monday.

Yesterday he was charged with one count of stealing and dealt with under the Juvenile Justice Act.

Sen-Constable Thomson urged residents to keep property secured.

"It's a timely reminder for residents to ensure that no valuables are left unattended outside their properties to eliminate these types of offences,” he said.
