THERE are sports galore across the Southern Downs this weekend with the Queensland Polocrosse Club Championships at the Bony Mountain Recreation Reserve one of the headline events.

There are 450 players from across the state ready for the start of play at 8am today, tomorrow and Sunday. Spectator admission is $25 for the weekend or $10 per day for adults. Children get in for free

The Cunningham Polocrosse Club will host the championships, 29 years after it first held the prestigious event.

The club is one of the oldest in the state.

It was founded in 1955, and will celebrate its 60th year by hosting the State Championships.

Sports fans could go to every event in the district this weekend and have change from $100.

While there is a charge for some sports, admission to many is free.

There is no charge for the hockey grand finals tomorrow at Queens Park.

It is the same with junior netball finals tomorrow at Barnes Park and Monday night senior finals at WIRAC.

There is free admission to the Warwick Karting Club meeting on Sunday and for spectators to the 135th anniversary clay target shoot.

Football is also free tomorrow at the Warwick junior preliminary finals and Football Stanthorpe grand finals.
