Porsche racing at Morgan Park on Saturday

THE Porsche Car Club of Queensland will be at Morgan Park for Motorsport Round 5 this Saturday.

The meeting is a CAMS multi-club event. After this weekend, there will be a short break in competition for some maintenance before the superbike test days on August 9-10.

The test days are a pre-runner to the Motorcycle Sportsmen of Queensland Australian Superbike Championships on August 25-27.

In the past, Warwick has attracted the most spectators of any meeting in the championships series.

Polocrosse weekend

WELL done to Warwick Polocrosse Club players Callum Brook and Monique Hoare who played in Australian squad games at Narrabri at the weekend.

They were part of an Australian Gold team which went down 3-0 to Green in games that were more about improving skill and gaining experience than winning.

Warwick player Cameron Shepherd was the Gold coach and Graham Bennett, from New South Wales, the Green coach after being a national team coach in South Africa last year.

This weekend, two Australian under-21 squads will play each other at a Sydney carnival.

Warwick player Kent Wells is coach of one team after being Australian assistant coach at the 2015 World Cup in South Africa.

All four involved in national squad action will be back in action as players and volunteers when Warwick hosts the Rose Bowl Carnival on August 18-20.
