Potters ready to kick off Heritage Week

PLATES will be featured at next weekend's Heritage Week Pottery Exhibition in Glennie Heights.

The exhibition will be opened by Cr Yve Stocks, of Southern Downs Regional Council. at 6.30pm Friday at the Potters Place, 63 Horsman Rd, Warwick.

Warwick Potters member Jan Laws said the Potters Place was a home away from home for club members.

"Plates will be the feature pottery this year,” she said.

Warwick Potters meet three times a week to work on their pottery at the clubhouse.

There are kilns, wheels and glazing facilities at Potters Place and the club's own little gallery.

The club has 24 financial members.

Admission to the opening on Friday is free and includes wine and nibblies. Many pieces of pottery will be for sale.

Members of the public are welcome to the opening on Friday and the exhibition from 10am to 4pm Saturday and Sunday.

This year's exhibition is the second annual exhibition for Heritage Week.
