Pouring coffee for a cause

WARWICK'S Zarraffa's Coffee staff have shown their generosity by fundraising for the Cancer Council.

The Zarraffa's coffee caddy was present at this year's Warwick Pentath-run, raising a total of $624.14.

Half of the proceeds were donated to the Cancer Council and the other half donated to Zarraffa's chosen charity, ACT for kids - a charity for abused and neglected children.

"All of the proceeds go to charity. We don't get anything from it except the satisfaction of servicing our local community," franchisee Danielle Slater said.

Ms Slater spoke of how important the Cancer Council was to herself and the community.

"It's a charity I hold dear to my heart as I have had family members that have battled cancer," she said.

The president of the Pentath-run committee, Karen Gilchrist, expressed her gratitude to Zarraffa's staff, saying they were a great support to the event.

Also wanting to thank Zarraffa's was the Cancer Council Warwick branch president Kay Wilson.

"We're always very appreciative of every donation, big or small - every bit helps," Mrs Wilson said.

"We are so grateful to both Zarraffa's and Pentath for helping us out."
